Hello there!

My name is Sara and I'm so excited you've made it here! This space serves two purposes: to share my wedding planning services as an up-and-coming event planner, and to share all the things that make me happy and inspire my life and goals - and I hope they'll do the same for you! If you're getting married, then you're definitely in the right place. My personal and professional experiences - and overwhelming passion for weddings! - have prepared me to help you plan your big day. Feel free to stop by my Weddings page for more information, and if you're interested I'd love to hear from you! On my blog, I share my knowledge, experience, and (sometimes rambling) thoughts about wedding and event planning, local businesses and fun things to do, fashion and make-up trends, recipes, fitness and healthy living, career paths, traveling, apartment decorating... just planning to wake up each day and find my happy! And if I can make you laugh? Then we're definitely going to be friends.

Why Flowers and Leather?

At my very core, I am hands-down, without a doubt a girly girl. I think it’s pretty obvious to anyone who meets me, since I can usually be found wearing dresses with flowers and big statement earrings and talking about weddings or The Bachelor (or The Bachelorette on alternate seasons of course). I love sparkles and the color pink and big, cozy blankets and decorative pillows and warm candles.

But there’s another part of me that loves wearing black and leather jackets and edgy jewelry. I love putting on my leather gloves and practicing kickboxing (punching things can be good for the soul), and I’m probably stronger than most people take me for. I love spicy foods and if it has the word buffalo, chipotle, jalapeno, or pepper jack in it, you already know I’m ordering it (I felt this was necessary information because someone once told me “you don’t look like you’d like spicy food” – what does that even mean?).

The thing is, there are always two sides to every story, and about 57932842 sides to every person. So let’s get to know each other, sound good?
